Time is flying by but yes, Rick Owens has been designing his epic label since 1994. Once upon a time debuting it in New York, in 2003 he traded NYC for Paris and all kind of took its course from there. Now, this legendary trailblazer gets a solo show solely dedicated to his creations alongside Milan triennial next month.
Entitled Subhuman Inhuman Superhuman, the exhibition will be held in the manner of a retrospective and Owens has picked selected treasures from his archive as well as furniture, films, graphics and sculptures. Also cross-influences with the art world such as the likes of Pierre Molinier and Marcel Duchamp will be explored.
While there is little else released about the exhibition at the moment, there are lots of iconic Rick moments that we are hoping will be featured – to name a recent few, the step dancers from SS14 or the human backpacks from SS16.
Subhuman Inhuman Superhuman will be open from December 15 at Triennale di Milano.
