German curator Philipp Bollmann is a talent to watch closely. Among other institutional clients, he has been working for the Wemhöner Collection since 2008.
He has seen the collection go public, grow and being perceived with curiosity and respect by the international audience and media.
In the latest group exhibition “satisfy me”, inspired by the work of Monica Bonvicini, Bollmann has put together an exquisite body-oriented selection, featuring photographs by Roger Ballen, Duane Michals, Isaac Julien and Yang Fudong, sculpture by Asta Gröting, Tim Noble & Sue Webster and Xu Qu as well as collages by Kader Attia and Birgit Brenner opening at Kunstsaele Berlin tonight.

My signature outfit… is definitely a double breasted suit / jacket. You always feel well dressed and never have to worry about that you’re not having a six-pack anymore.

The best style advice I was ever given… Wear what you like and what suits you best, but never masquerade as someone that isn’t you.

I would never wear…any color but blue, white, gray or black.

Number of unanswered mails in your account today… none! which unfortunately doesn’t happens to be the every day case…. But I’m working on it.

My favourite travel device is… a trolly. It’s not really a device but so much more handy than a weekender. Took me years to find out…

On a plane I normally spend my time… reading magazines or drafting mails. (I think that sounds way better than saying: trying to sleep).

Top 3 songs on my headphone… I never use headphones.

In the gym I’m… constantly waiting to allow myself to finally go to the sauna.

What’s on for dinner… everything from Pasta to Sauerkraut.

My necessary extravagance is… good wine and a comfortable bed.

If I could host a party for anyone it would be… Maurizio Cattelan.

In the art world currently I find most exciting that… I can be a part of it.

My daily art read is…
my mailbox and instagram.

In my bedroom I have an artwork by…
Andrea Stappert and Albert Oehlen.

The most arty city is… Berlin of course! It’s not a market place but as Berlin is the most liberal city in the world right now – I would say – some of the most outstanding artists of our times decided to live here.

My favourite art-world ladies are… a well-kept secret.
