Time sure does fly. We are already the 3rd October and 12 weekends away from Christmas – just to put that into perspective! Yet to ease this transition, Carrie Bradshaw actress, Sarah Jessica Parker answers our prayers by launching her own line of dresses this month. Also, Dior and Gucci reveal the new faces of their 2016-2017 campaigns with two British heartthrobs, Robert Pattinson and Tom Hiddleston. I’m sure we’ll be able to cope with 2016 flying by with these faces on billboards.

From perfume to accessories, Parker moves on to apparel by designing a new line of dresses, which will launch this October in Bloomingdale’s and online. Trust Carrie Bradshaw to know good style – this collection consists of little black dresses, elegantly falling above the knee, which flow and twirl perfectly as demonstrated on SJP’s Instagram.

#2 Happy Birthday, Brigitte Bardot!
Before the CB era (Carrie Bradshaw), was another fashion icon: French model and actress Brigitte Bardot.
Last week, Bardot celebrated her 82nd birthday and Harper’s Bazaar looked back on this woman’s most signature and glamorous styles. No one could pull off a high-waisted skirt like she could!
#3 An Injured Peter Brant Misses Extravagant Mugrabi Wedding
Who said doing sport was good for you? Publication magnate and art collector Peter Brant injured himself while playing Polo, falling off his horse just days before Alberto Mugrabi’s wedding in the South of France. Apparently, the state of his injury was slightly exaggerated in the press. What was first claimed as a “crushed pelvis” was reduced to a torn tendon in his quadriceps. Still… ouch!
#4 Dior and Gucci Take on Board Two Heartthrob-British Male Actors
Two of the most suavest looking men are the new faces of two leading fashion houses. Take Taylor Swift’s ex-conquest and “Night Manager” actor, Tom Hiddleston. The British gent is the new face of Italian house Gucci for its next 2017 cruise tailoring campaign. Meanwhile in Paris, mysterious-looking Robert Pattinson has been photographed by Karl Lagerfeld for Dior Homme’s fall 2016 ads, showing off his best smouldering gaze. Pattinson will be the first celebrity face for Dior Homme.
#5 The NY Times Photographs Swizz Beatz’s Art Filled Music Studio
The NY Times stepped into rapper and music producer Swizz Beatz’s music studio in Chelsea NY, to discover that it is filled with contemporary art, describing it as an “art gallery”. The art collector and founder of Dean’s Collection has hung the works of Dustin Yellin, Michael Vasquez including a print of the famous “For The Love of God” by Damien Hirst throughout his studio, continuously immersing himself in art from day to night.
#6 Eric Clapton Auctions off Gerhard Richter at Christie’s NY
The British songwriter and guitarist, Eric Clapton will be selling a Gerhard Richter painting at Christie’s NY Autumn sales in November. Valued at US$20million, the piece “Abstraktes Bild 809-2” will test the art market’s waters for the German’s artist works, which has proven to be rather slow over the past years due to low demand. The auction house will thus rely on the provenance of the famed singer to bring in wealthy buyers.
