Pushing the Boundaries of the Ideal Physical Female

New York based designer and illustrator Amber Vittoria, describes her style as “airy, colourful, whimsical and powerful”, along with “heavy conceptual roots in femininity”. The in-depth confrontation with those rather social and philosophical perspectives deepen her illustrations from the initial playful and bright first sight and caught our eye – not only ours. Her client list includes the likes of The New York Times, Teen Vogue, Man Repeller, Refinery29, and Victoria’s Secrets.
“The ‘ideal physical female’ is something my artwork aims to break. Because of this, several of my pieces focus on femininity and the female form, leveraging physical traits such as body hair, overtly extended limbs, and rounded features.”
