Robert Storr has stepped down from his post as dean of the Yale School of Art, making room for the first woman to occupy the prestigious role. Her name is Marta Kuzma, and she’s the former vice chancellor and rector of the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. An art world professional for over 25 years, Kuzma lacks the name recognition that Storr certainly has (he’s courted his share of controversy in the past few years, openly dissing fellow critics like Jerry Saltz) but we have no doubt that’s about to change as she steps into the spotlight. Congratulations to Ms. Kuzma!
