The Re-Brander – Boosted by Beyonce

Born in 1976 in New Jersey, and raised in New York, Hank Willis Thomas is a conceptual artist whose work aims to challenge our perceptions of human history, identity, and pop culture. In his provocative works, Thomas decodes iconic brand imagery and their sublime messages in regards to be a commentary on race and class.
Part of the world’s leading private and public collections, ranging from The Rubell Family Collection, via tennis diva Serena Williams up to holy Guggenheim, Thomas is an established star in the art world heaven already.
