The Necessity Of Getting Fresh Air And Berlin Vibes
Founder of Buzzeum, Paris

The Paris and Berlin based media and communication agency – Buzzeum – has offered a new perspective of museum and audience connection, whilst the great mastermind behind is the surrealist landscape photographer Diane Drubay. Also an entrepreneur, Drubay is a long-standing member of the museum and gallery community, with insurgent approach to subvert art. In 2012, she also established the cultural institution We Are Museums convening lectures, workshop, exhibitions, and performance as one for art lovers.

In this Style Talk, we chatted with Drubay about getting higher with boots, that percussion instrument gong, and sunbathing on her balcony.

My ideal working outfit looks like…
Black and tight dress with a very long loose tunic to feel the wind.

What’s best: heels or flats… which brand or style…
Heels! Really high platform boots to go well with any of my outfits! The minimalist black leather ones by Vagabond are perfect and super comfortable.

My favorite art-related blog or app is…
Unfortunately or fortunately, no more blogs in my daily life, only Instagram to find new artists and follow galleries.

The last thing I bought and loved was…
My gong! So happy to finally have this gong that I will be using during my screenings ;) Also, few weeks ago was the Gallery Week-End in Berlin, I went to this pop-up gallery presented by an architecture and design studio just for 8 days and discovered this amazing video and digital artist coming from Shanghai and based in Berlin called Carla Chan. I loved the few pieces I saw, I bought the book “To Outland by Caral Chan”!

My personal style signifier(s)/identifier(s)…
Black is light. Wear black and breathe colors and light!

My necessary extravagance is…
My boots, always higher!

Three things/products I always need to have in my purse…
My bag is actually quite tiny, just a simple leather pocket with all I need inside to survive: my phone, sunglasses, wallet and a pen.

My ultimate beauty secret after long working hours…
Taking a breath of fresh air and lots of sun on my balcony every morning.

My favourite work(s) of art…
The Garden of Earthly Delights by Bosch.

The art world currently excites me most that…
I am fascinated by the transition of styles and artistic approaches that we witness, seeing the passion moves from a post-apocalyptic universe to an art filled with light and spirituality.

Most sexiest art person is…
No idea. I fail to see what I don’t like.

Where I am off to next…
My next stop is Bucharest in Romania at the National Museum of Contemporary Art and at The Ark where we will launch the 4th edition of our great international event on the future of museums called We Are Museums, and the 1st edition of Museum Rocket, the first museum and entrepreneurship fair. Follow #WAM16, it will be huge!

My next art trip/travel is going to…
Leba in Poland is my next artistic stop! The Baltic Sea is for me an endless inspiration for my videos and photos www.skinoftheirlight.com

In my eyes the most arty city…
Berlin, as each individual is an artist here, from their home and their outfit to the streets.

Which artists to watch…
Evelyn Bencicova and her strong cold universe creating unique and deep emotions. Robert Henke for his digital sound projections.
