With rumors that Yeezy is finally getting his respect from the fashion world, Balenciaga takes it up a notch. The brand’s creative director Demna Gvasalia may have taken some inspiration from Kanye West for the latest paparazzi-like shots of their SS 2018 campaign. Just as Yeezy’s season 6 recently debuted on Instagram with Kim Kardashian clones, the Balenciagia takes a high end Parisian turn for their latest, plaid-covered and spiky-heeled line, which includes their regular cast of models, including quirky shots of German performance artist Eliza Douglas, British model Stella Tennant and Kennah Lau, who is being called the new Ruby Rose. Of course, these photos are shot by real paparazzi photographers, courtesy of the French press agency Agence Bestimage. As Kanye once said of the paparazzi: “I hope we don’t see no paparazzi today because I’m still getting acquainted with these jogging pants I threw on. Like, that’s not my statement!”
