Chris Dercon is a Belgian art historian and curator. He is former director of Tate Modern in London. While people celebrated him like an art world god when he was putting together the Ai Weiwei show at Haus der Kunst a couple of years ago, Berlin currently freaks out that he will take over Volksbühne Berlin as intendant in 2017.
