And these sweets are a performance art piece…

Ever thought of creating a macaron that tastes exactly like you? Not really? Well, performance artist – also known for her “Picasso Baby” performance with Jay-Z at NYC`s Pace gallery did and the sweet cookies were launched just this week during Frieze London.

So we are talking basically about a new piece of performance art — Marina Abramović-flavored macarons. What it exactly means that macarons are flavoured just as the iconic artist, we don’t know exactly, but according to Artnet, the project is in conjunction with dessert giant Laduree and in collaboration with art x sweets collaborator, Kreëmart, and is aimed to make the audience to really taste her.

Apparently, the sweets are in the colour scheme of “Prussian Blue, a warrior colour that is tied to memories of her parents and of the ocean, and they leave a guilty blue stain on your tongue.” And the artist`s family crest, depicting a wolf eating a sheep, is stamped on each macaron. Same as the art, also the pastries` taste is very intense and not for everyone. But eventually we feel less guilty adding all that calories on our hips, if it is for the art`s sake…
